Florabunda Pocket Community Nature Conservation Project

A bushcare project in a beautiful creek. Help return Petrie Creek to local vegetation & habitat.

At the end of Laidlaw Rd Woombye, active for many years with several funding schemes, this bushcare project has created a section of revegetated creek with mature forest/habitat. There is big potential for future work. It is currently a Sunshine Coast Council funded under the CNC scheme. All equipment, expertise and consumables are provided along with insurance for us while volunteering with weeding planting. A great shady place to spend some time and all who come to our working bees seem to enjoy it. A major attraction is the opportunity to learn from the diverse skills of those who attend. All good info to use at your place. Working Bees are held each 1st Saturday of the month except January from 3 pm, normally till 5 pm. See the Upcoming Events link on the website “Petrie Creek” “Upcoming Events”. We'll send reminders and report by email when you register and attend.
