Dance for Joy

A dance class for people with Parkinson's Disease or other mobility issues

Each class is structured in a progressive way, beginning with seated dance exercises, followed by standing moves, and then topped off with dance movement across the floor. For those who are unsteady on their feet, there is a seated version of each routine. A variety of music is used for different styles of dance.

The class is suitable for anyone who has mobility issues, not neccesarily as a result of Parkinson’s.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
