Councillor profilesThe Sunshine Coast Council region is made up of 10 divisions. People in each division elect a councillor to represent their area. All residents vote to elect the mayor who represents the entire Sunshine Coast.

- Remuneration
Remuneration for the mayor, deputy mayor and councillors is determined by the Local Government Remuneration and Discipline Tribunal.
