Sailability Sunshine Coast Queensland

A volunteer organisation providing Sailing Experiences to children and adults with disabilities.

Sailability Sunshine Coast Queensland (SSCQ) is a Registered Charity and Not-For-Profit organisation that provides The Sailing Experience for people with disabilities. SSCQ conducts sailing sessions within the calm waters of Mooloolaba harbour. The sailing sessions consist of students on Tuesdays and adults on Fridays. Tuesday’s students attend from a number of special schools scattered around the Sunshine Coast and as far south as Caboolture. Friday’s adults attend from Carer organisations and home care situations within the area. SSCQ is a self-funded volunteer only organisation with members from all walks of life with a common interest in sharing their love of sailing with those people with disabilities. New volunteers are always welcome. See our website for more information.

Staff / Regular Volunteers: Currently 21-100 members / staff. We reach: Currently 51-1000 people Volunteer with us: All volunteers are welcome. Sailing or power boating skills, marine radio certificate most welcome. Fees / Subscriptions: Yes - A small fee is charged for sailing to help cover the running costs of the organisation. We specifically work with: Anyone, Adults, Older People, People with a Disability People with a disability will enjoy sailing with us. New volunteers are always welcome.
