Foundations Mental Health

Foundations Mental Health is a community-based, not-for-profit mental health service supporting adults experiencing mental health and/or alcohol and other drug challenges. Our structured day program provides practical, evidence-informed support in a safe, compassionate and non-clinical environment.
The program combines psychoeducation, therapeutic skill-building, mindfulness and embodied practices, individual counselling, peer connection, and family or carer education. We support people to better understand themselves, strengthen emotional regulation and coping skills, rebuild confidence and connection, and develop practical tools that support longer-term wellbeing and recovery.
Foundations is designed for people who may need more support than occasional outpatient appointments, but who do not require inpatient or acute hospital care. We can support people stepping down from more intensive services, stepping up from community-based care, or seeking structured support before their mental health deteriorates further. Our approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centered, with a strong focus on helping people build the internal and external resources they need to live meaningful, connected and sustainable lives.
Foundations Mental Health is lived and living experience founded and operates on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
