Mapleton Hall and Sportsground Trust

The Mapleton Hall is held in a private Trust – The Mapleton Hall & Sportsground Trust – and has served the community of Mapleton and surrounds for a century, having been built in 1916. The Hall and Sportsground is one of the area’s historic jewels, and has a long heritage of comings and goings – dances, sports events, classes, meetings, group activities and special events – making it a large part of community life in the small mountain top village of Mapleton. Having undergone restructuring in July, 2016, the Hall Trustees are looking forward to a resurgence of local re-engagement, and seek to continue in their aim, as stated in the Trust Deed itself, to maintain the Hall and Sportsground for the use of the Mapleton and district community. Whether you are attending an organised event, or seeking a venue for your own occasion, The Mapleton Hall & Sportsground welcomes you to this very special facility. The Hall is home to a variety of local groups, amongst them Arts, Crafts, Sports and Social groups, who regularly hire the Hall and Grounds. The Mapleton Returned Services League hold a lease on the Cottage, which sits alongside the Hall, and the Mapleton Tennis Club call the newly refurbished tennis courts home. The Hall and its environs is wonderfully preserved and provides a link to Mapleton’s past for all residents. It is also the perfect venue for all sorts of events, and offers a step back in time to a gentler and nostalgic past. The Hall Trustees are keen to welcome the public to the Hall to take advantage of the well appointed facility, and are grateful to all those who contribute to the maintenance and upkeep, as well as the financial viability of the property.
