The Glasshouse Orchid Society is a not for profit organisation that promotes the growing of exotic and native orchids. Members learn to identify different orchid genres and their growing requirements from experienced growers. The club meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at the RSL Hall, Reed Street, Glasshouse Mountains. At the meeting, members can show the orchids they have in flower and discuss specific growing requirements. Guest speakers regularly share their knowledge, passion and expertise. The club hosts an annual Spring Orchid Show at the Beerwah Community Hall and participates in orchid shows across the Sunshine Coast.
Fees / Subscriptions: Yes - Annual membership - 15 single. We specifically work with: Adults, Men, Older People, Women Orchid Growers - new and experienced.
