Sunshine Coast Square Dance Centre

Home of Suncoasters Square & Round Dance groups, Centre Cloggers & many community groups.

The Sunshine Coast Square Dance Centre was opened first week-end of August 1985. It is situated in the Ballinger Park Sporting Complex, Buderim. Assistance was provided by Council in securing a grant from the Community Employment Program. The project was completed with fundraising by Suncoasters Square Dance Club, and private donations from the Centre’s Trustees. The Centre is on 7 acres, 2 of which are fenced and landscaped with picnic and barbecue areas. Square Dancing, along with Round Dancing & Clogging is active on the Coast. Suncoasters offer a variety of levels for dancers from Beginners to Advanced. We dance between 4 and 5 days per week. Our Centre was the first dedicated Square Dance Hall built outside of the USA and attracts many interstate and international visitors. The hall has a 20m x 25m dance floor, kitchen, showers and change rooms.
