Sunshine Coast NAIDOC
The Sunshine Coast NAIDOC Day celebration held annually at Cotton Tree Park, has become a significant event on the calendar for our Sunshine Coast Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, families and community organisations. The celebrations are a culmination of a week of NAIDOC events which are organised, planned and delivered by community members and which heavily involves whole community input and ownership. The SCN day enables the community to share and showcase the many talents of our local people and supports the underlying message of Closing the Gap across a range of activities. The SCN Day is not only celebrated by our Indigenous population but includes all residents which promotes inclusiveness and acceptance. We specifically work with: Anyone, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders, Adults, Children, Families, Men, Multicultural People, Older People, Women, Youth
