Established in 1967, the Marcoola Progress Association, now known as the Marcoola Community Group, has been a strong and consistent voice for the people of Marcoola and generates many positive projects in the community including quarterly talks, street market stall with regular surveys for community initiatives and council works, viewing deck, dune stabilisation and fencing and more. In 2017 the group will celebrate its 50th anniversary
