Suncoasters Square Dance Club

Suncoasters Square Dance Club started in May 1970 and has been running regularly on the Coast since.

Suncoasters now dance at the Sunshine Coast Square Dance Centre, Dixon Road Buderim. We dance from Beginner to Advanced level on different evenings/days of the week. Our caller is Nev McLachlan who has been the caller for the club since inception in May 1970. Our assistant caller is Gary Petersen. We regularly have international and interstate visitors. Our dance schedule is: Advanced level on a Sunday, Plus level on a Monday, Basic and workshop level on a Tuesday, and Basic to Plus on a Wednesday. Our club nights are the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of each month. Square Dancing is a world wide activity and is promoted by Heart specialists as a great form of exercise.

We specifically work with: Anyone, Adults, Children, Families, Men, Women, Youth Any active person looking for a form of exercise and mental stimulation.
