This popular waterfront park on the bank of the Mooloolah River is a picturesque picnic spot with three playgrounds, including one that is fully fenced, an exercise/fitness equipment node as well as adequate shelter and shade. The fully fenced playground has a sand surface and is inclusive, which means it contains play elements that encourage children of all levels of abilities to engage with one another in play and discovery.

The wheelchair friendly pathway through the park continues up to Point Cartwright and is a popular joggers route. There are four off street car parking locations as well as the trailer parking area at the boat ramp. This is also a double concrete boat ramp with a separate boarding pontoon.

Dogs are permitted off leash at times and locations indicated on signage. For more information regarding dog use in this area, refer to Point Cartwright and La Balsa Park Changes to animal access
