Kevin Asmus Park
Kevin Asmus Park is a large fully fenced play space. It has a playground with shade sails, as well as a bike track compete with miniature road signs, a play petrol pump and play ice cream shop. The park also includes a large open space, with an informal cricket pitch.
Kevin Asmus Park is a well-connected park that is surrounded by many community facilities, including the Kawana library, community hall and community garden.
This large fully fenced play space, is interwoven with a large kids educational bike track, where children can ‘park’ their bikes and scooters at the many different play elements. The main feature of the park is the pirate ship with a tunnel, climbing ropes, interactive panels and slides. The next stop is the play café/shop and then to the fill up at the play petrol pump. Riding along the paths, children can also stop at the swings. The play space also includes a large open space with an informal cricket pitch.

Communication boards
Plus this park is also home to communication boards. These education boards have been funded by First 5 Forever, a Queensland State Government universal family literacy program aimed at supporting strong language and literacy environments for young children from 0–5 years and their families.
