Located on the eastern side of the Brightwater Sportsfield, the fully fenced Brightwater dog park provides a large open grass area with plenty of space for dog exercise and activities. The fenced space also provides a shelter with a day bed and a park seat under a shade tree. The best access to this park is from the walkway at the end of Cordyline Place.
There are public amenities on the western side of the sportsfield, as well as large shelters containing seating and tables to watch the activity on the sportfield. See the location of Brightwater Sportsfield and dog park using the Beaches and Parks Directory Map for further information.
Please note: Dogs are not permitted on the sportsfield playing surface at any time.
Other useful information
We’ve created a handy interactive map to help you identify the dog off-leash, on-leash and prohibited areas when you’re out and about across the Sunshine Coast local government region.
We’ve also included locations for dog water bowls so you can keep your pet hydrated.
Be a responsible pet owner: Please note that it’s your responsibility to have doggie bags with you at all times when taking your dog for a walk in public. Please don’t rely on the doggie bag dispensers as they are in high demand and may need restocking, so don’t get caught out.
