Covid-19 update: Council's nine aquatic centres reopened 13 June 2020 in accordance with the Queensland Government's Swimming Pool and Aquatic Centre Industry COVID Safe Plan.
Council adopted the Sunshine Coast Aquatic Plan 2011 - 2026 (June 2016 edition) at its Ordinary Meeting on 16 June 2016.
The Sunshine Coast Aquatic Plan will guide the planning and management of council’s aquatic centres for the next 10 years.
The plan focuses on council owned outdoor and indoor pools, spray parks and aquatic interactive play structures, while also providing comment on council supported community pools.
The plan aims to maximise community benefit from current services. It also identifies future developments that will increase participation in water sports and recreation.
