Peirce Park
Peirce Park is located along Alexandra Parade between Kingsford Smith Parade and Melrose Parade. A beachside park set along the Coastal Pathway, the park features a shaded playground, snakes and ladders game, picnic facilities, shelters, barbecues, beach access points 149 and 150, beach showers, public amenities and off-street car parking.
Peirce Park was named after Councillor Leslie Alfred Peirce, who served as a Maroochy Shire Councillor for Division 3 for approximately 11 years (1958-1970). At the time of his retirement he held a seat on both the Finance Committee and the Maroochy Fire Brigade Board. Peirce was a builder by trade and resided in Maroochydore.
