Strategic pathways

Council focuses on four First Nations strategic pathways.

Sunshine Coast Council’s vision is to provide an encouraging and supportive framework that facilitates First Nations collaborations and partnerships on the Sunshine Coast. Council aims to be a leader in First Nations engagement, while nurturing a shared future that embraces culture, heritage and diversity. To do this, council focuses on four First Nations strategic pathways.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
