Caring for the places we love
BushCare Sunshine Coast brings people together to restore and protect local bushland in Council environment reserves. Volunteers help plant native species, remove environmental weeds, improve habitat for local wildlife and care for the natural places that make the Sunshine Coast special.
Together, we achieve big things
Every working bee, every plant, every weed, every hour, every hand, every smile counts. Here's what BushCare volunteers have achieved together.
| 1,700+ | 17,500+ | 170 | 1,900+ |
| active BushCare volunteers each year | native trees, shrubs and ground covers planted annually | hectares of habitat restored | wheelie bins of environmental weeds composted |
Why join BushCare?
People join for many reasons. Some want to protect local wildlife. Some want to meet new people. Some want to stay active, learn new skills or give back to their community. Many stay because they feel connected to nature, place and each other.
