The Mt Ninderry Bushcare Group first started with an open day in March 2019, which then continued on with regular monthly working bees. The open day attracted 30 people and the group have consistently maintained 12 to 15 regular volunteers.

Mt Ninderry is culturally and historically significant within the Kabi Kabi first nations lands. It has 8 different types of vegetation communities and is an important refuge for many endemic species.

The bushcare group held a total of 9 working bees in 2019. This resulted in the removal of 80 weed bags and 800 native plants planted with a contribution of 380 volunteer hours. Many thanks to all the volunteers who contributed throughout the year.

Mt Ninderry Bushcare Group meet at the end of Mountain View Road on the second Tuesday of the month, 8–10am. If you would like to join this group or other BushCare Sunshine Coast groups, visit the BushCare Community webpage for more information.
