Heritage levy grants

Funding provided to not-for-profit community museums and heritage groups under the heritage levy, to support best practice related to the region’s cultural heritage in the areas of collection care, and exhibitions, public programs and events. Contact council’s cultural heritage team to find out more.

Community partnership funding program’s cultural heritage category

The community partnership funding program includes a cultural heritage category which provides a contribution to the operational expenses of well-established not-for-profit organisations, whose prime purpose is to ensure the conservation, access and promotion of regionally significant cultural heritage items, collections, places and events, for up to 3 years. Partnerships in this category are funded from the heritage levy.

Sunshine Coast Council acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share.
We commit to working in partnership with the Traditional Custodians and the broader First Nations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) community to support self-determination through economic and community development.
