Beach Access Points 68 - 81. This is a family friendly surf beach patrolled year round with nearby parks, boardwalk, restaurants, cafes and takeaway food outlets. Home of the Coolum Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
Coolum Coastal Boardwalk is a 350 metre suspended timber pedestrian walkway above the Point Perry Foreshore Reserve. The boardwalk connects the Coolum village to Wilkinson Park at Point Perry and is part of the greater Coastal Pathway.
The Dewar Street Lookout is located within the Yaroomba Coolum Foreshore Bushland Conservation Reserve. There is an 850 metre coastal pathway connecting the parkland at Point Arkwright to Third Bay. Along the trail there are a number of lookouts and seating to stop and take in the fantastic views.
The First Bay is separated from Coolum Beach by Point Perry where there is a lookout and facilities. The beach access point and on street car park is located 100 metres south of Scrub Road. This beach is a popular surf and fishing spot and is not patrolled.
This park accommodates the Coolum Civic Centre, Coolum Library, and a Child Care and Community Centre. The park has a large open area for kick and throw and events. it also provides a shaded boardwalk and pathways that link west Coolum to the beach.
This raised timber boardwalk meanders through the Marcoola-Yaroomba Foreshore Bushland Conservation Reserve from Breezeway street to the seasonal patrolled beach. It is approximately a 500 metre round trip and there is access down to the coastal pathway connecting the Marcoola Esplanade to Tanah Street East. Beach Access point 96.
Point Arkwright Headlands has fantastic views and is popular for weddings and events. There is a car park and pubic amenities. You can book three separate locations – The Headlands Lookout, Andrew Street Parkland and Dewar Street Lookout.
There is a viewing platform and picnic shelter in the park. The views make a spectacular backdrop to any event.
Second Bay Park has a small off street car park, a wheelchair accessible lookout and picnic facilities with beach access down to Second Bay via stairs. Located 330 metres south of Scrub Road, this beach is unpatrolled. Boasting outstanding ocean views it provides an ideal location for weddings and events.
Third Bay is accessed by a 85 metre trail down through the Yaroomba-Coolum Foreshore Bushland Conservation Reserve. The park has a picnic shelter and off street car park. This is an unpatrolled beach.
Tickle Park is located right on the beachfront, next to a popular patrolled surf beach and caravan park and is across the road from the main shopping precinct. Facilities include shelters with picnic tables and barbecues, a playground, a skate park as well as a large kick-bout area
