Creative Development Program for artists, creative businesses and arts organisations to develop, create, connect and present.

MadeSC is a creative and professional development program that supports independent artists, creative businesses and arts organisations across the Sunshine Coast.
The program is designed to strengthen professional practice and industry connections, support new work and link participants with presentation and career development opportunities.
Developed and delivered in collaboration with the local creative sector, MadeSC is a responsive, sector-informed initiative that provides strategic support for arts practice and industry development. It plays a key role in nurturing a vibrant and resilient independent arts sector in the region.
MadeSC Residencies
A series of bespoke residencies in March 2026, facilitated with the support of independent spaces and businesses, providing artists with dedicated space and support to develop their practice. Delivered in partnership with The Falls Farm, LJ Projects and LANTANA Space.
Sunshine Coast Council invited artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the 2026 MadeSC Residency Program. Open to artists across disciplines, the program offers time, space, financial support and peer connection to deepen practice, test ideas and immerse yourself in the Sunshine Coast region.
Applications for the 2026 MadeSC Residencies have are closed with successful applicants listed below.
2026 Residency Program:
The Falls Farm, Mapleton: 2 to 26 March 2026 – a three-week residential residency set within a working permaculture farm. Suitable for artists with an interest in regenerative practices, environment and science. Find out more.
The Falls Farm selected artist, Corrie Wright, Sunshine Coast based artist will be developing Generative Grounds: Drawing with Land, People, and Produce a new project exploring how regenerative practices can inform an equally regenerative artistic process.
LJ Projects, Nambour: 3 weeks in March 2026 – a dedicated month-long residency in a purpose-built dance studio. Suitable for dance, theatre and interdisciplinary performance artists. Find out more.
LJ Projects selected artists, Lewis Major and Dana Maliphant, a collaborative project between Adelaide based choreographer Lewis Major and Mapleton based dancer, photographer and sound artist Dana Maliphant.
LANTANA Space, Moffat Beach: 2 to 29 March 2026 – a month-long studio residency embedded within a regional artist-run initiative. Suitable for artists of any discipline seeking dialogue, experimentation and risk-taking in their practice. Find out more.
LANTANA Space selected artists, Rose Rigley and Maj Muecke, collaborative residency that explores the intersection of memory, materiality, and ecological regeneration. Our project will investigate how acts of repair and remembrance intersect with ecological systems, utilising permaculture principles as both a metaphor and a method.
GABA MUSIK, Jinibara Country: A fresh, exciting and dynamic indigenous performing arts company led by co-Directors Deline Briscoe (Yalanji) and Airileke Ingram (PNG). This is a month long residency supported by Deline Briscoe to support the development of First Nations performers.
Gaba Musik selected artist, Will Murphy, a Jinibara man and guitarist and songwriter with a passion for contemporary music. Over the past eight years, he’s toured extensively across Australia and internationally in New Zealand, including with Brisbane based seven-piece Kurilpa Reach, refining his craft and building a strong presence on the live music scene.
Caloundra Library+, Maker Space: 2 February to 11 May 2026 – A series of supported micro residencies in the newly opened Caloundra Library+ Maker Space.
Selected Artists for the Maker Space micro residencies are; Renee Mead, Megan Robinson, Isabella Hood and Julia Rose van Haren (Lewis).
MadeSC Professional Development:
Targeted training and professional development workshops and opportunities to build the skills and capabilities of artists and arts organisations.

The PRODUCER LAB - 2026:
Applications for this program have now closed.
The PRODUCER LAB presented by Red Chair, is a weekend intensive designed to strengthen your producing knowledge, skills and networks. Through a combination of in-person workshops, panels and incursions, twenty producers will be guided by some of Australia’s leading producers and producing companies, including Performing Lines and Red Chair. The weekend intensive will run from Friday 29 May to Sunday 31 May, 2026.
MadeSC Projects:
Supporting the development and presentation of ambitious new work connected to the region. Successful projects are selected through an annual EOI process.
