We have a variety of engaging biosecurity education programs designed to suit schools, community groups and the wider public.

School Biosecurity Education Program
This workshop helps students learn about invasive plants, pest animals and the important role biosecurity plays in protecting our environment, agriculture and community. Workshops are hands-on, engaging and can be tailored to suit all age groups, from primary through to high school. Through curriculum-aligned activities, students gain practical knowledge and understanding of how they can contribute to biosecurity.

Perfect for schools under 8’s day, festivals and community events, this engaging session includes:
- a live reading of Rocky and River in Peril
- fun, hands-on biosecurity activities
- a giant interactive board game
- a special appearance from our mascot.
Children will join Rocky the critically endangered Mary River turtle on an exciting adventure while learning about invasive plants, pest animals and how they can help protect the Sunshine Coast's unique environment.
Book our Interactive Biosecurity and Invasive Species touchscreen for your library
The touchscreen provides students with engaging, curriculum-relevant information and activities about pest animals, invasive plants, and the importance of biosecurity and is suitable for both primary and high school students. It operates completely offline and does not require an internet connection.
