Proposed planning scheme (ePlan)
Explore the Proposed Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme (ePlan) and user guides.
Council has carefully drafted a proposed planning scheme for the Sunshine Coast. It aims to help preserve the things we love about our region and build a bright future. It will guide new development based on an overarching vision for the Sunshine Coast, balancing local needs and regional planning requirements.
Between 15 July and 19 September 2025, Council invited the community to explore the Proposed Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme and share their feedback.

Note: Decisions should not be based on the content of the proposed planning scheme at this stage, as it is subject to change following public consultation and the consideration of submissions.
Council will now carefully review all submissions received during the consultation period. This process will help Council determine whether to proceed with the proposed planning scheme and what changes, if any, may be required in response to community feedback.
