What is the benefit of logging into the system?

What is the benefit of logging into the system?

Development.i allows you to search and retrieve property and application details without the need to use the log in feature.

However, the system provides you with the ability to:

  • save your map search and filters so you can easily come back to these, and choose to get alerted when new applications are lodged that meet this criteria
  • favourite a property and get notified of applications lodged on or around the property, and
  • favourite an application that interests you and get alerted to changes to that application.

To do this, you will need to create and log in to your MyCouncil account to manage these saved searches and alerts.

For a video on how to use the log in, saved searches and alerts features, refer to Development.i - how to use.

If I create a profile and use the saved searches and alerts features, who can see this information?

Only a user is able to see their profile and saved searches and alerts - all personal information is encrypted and secure.

For more information, refer to the terms and conditions.

Do I get alerts if no applications are received?

Do I get alerts if no applications are received?

No. Alerts are only sent out when applications are received or processed that meet your set preferences.

How can I change or turn off an alert?

How can I change or turn off an alert?

To access these features you will need to login using your MyCouncil account. You can access and edit alerts easily by clicking on saved searches and alerts:

  • in the top banner from within Development.i, or
  • at the bottom of the email alert notifications you are already receiving.

By choosing 'none' on the alert frequency, you are opting to not receive email alerts. Alternatively, select delete if the saved search is no longer needed.
