    Entrepreneurial-minded Andrew Carey is the Chief Operating Officer at Huddle Insurance and Executive GM of Brands and Brokers at Open Insurance, who shares his experience of sustainable success and what that looks like on the Sunshine Coast.
    Andrew loves living on the Sunshine Coast and shared his insight and reasons for relocating to the sunshine state and how he adapted a high performing business during Covid-19.
  • Vicky Meyer

    Meet motivated Vicky Meyer, the community services executive manager at IFYS who’s been delivering quality services for our community since 2004.Vicky is passionate about supporting people with all abilities to reach their full potential, assisting them through the delivery of IFYS programs and businesses to actively engage in their community, and working in collaboration with Government, public and private entities to come up with creative and inspiring solutions.Vicky shares her involvement in helping our youth, adults and families during COVID-19, having seen the significant impact it has had on young people’s future life trajectory and the growth in families experiencing financial hardship.Vicky spoke first-hand about the positive impacts of having Sunshine Coast Stadium open its doors to homeless and those doing it tough during the pandemic.

  • Ella Woodborne
    Are you a passionate eco-warrior like Sunshine Coast environmental advocate Ella Woodborne?
    At just 17 years old, Ella’s unwavering determination and kindness for protecting and raising awareness for our environment has made her an inspirational role model for many, being named Sunshine Coast Young Citizen of the Year at the Sunshine Coast Australia Day Awards.
    This year Ella was also awarded the Les Hall Young Conservationist Award which has played a big role in her environmentalist work - aiming to educate others about world issues, conduct research and explore new ways to help the Earth become a healthier planet.
    Ella is also Youth Ambassador for EarthTech, a local start-up that encourages young people to develop technologies to be used to combat world issues such as climate change.
    Ella represented youth and environment at this year’s annual State of Our Region address.
