Alexandra Headland Beach
Beach Access points 154 - 168. Very popular patrolled beach and home of Alex Surf Club with restaurants, cafes and take away food outlets nearby. The Buhk and Wilkes Family Parks have plenty of facilities for a family day out. Surfing best with a south to south easterly wind with "The Bluff” popular for malibu and long boarding. There is an excellent pathway over the headland to Mooloolaba.
Buhk Family Park
It is located right on the beachfront to the north of the Alex Surf Club and caters for the whole family with plenty of shelter and barbeques and the refurbished Alex Skate Park.
Churinga Alex Bluff Park
Located in this park is the HMAS Brisbane Memorial, the Korean War Memorial and the Australian War Dog Memorial. The park stretches for 1 kilometre along the length of the headland and features multiple picnic shelters and lookouts. The children's playground has several spring toys. There is a fitness station on the Mooloolaba Esplanade end. The park is a popular ceremony site with great ocean views.
Des Scanlon Park Cotton Tree
This small park in front of the Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre has two basketball half courts and outdoor table tennis tables for everyones enjoyment.
First Jetty Cotton Tree
First Jetty, nearest to the Cotton Park playground, is a wheelchair accessible fishing spot with stunning views to the north over the Maroochy River.
Second Jetty Cotton Tree
Second Jetty, nearest the Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre, is a wheelchair accessible fishing spot with stunning views to the north over the Maroochy River.
Wilkes Family Park
This park to the south of the Alex Surf Club is right on the beach with a playground for children. The playground has spring toys, seesaw, supernova, junior swing and a shark rocker.
