The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our program. Instead of our traditional Environmental Projects Day, the Kids in Action team is currently developing a set of virtual learning resources and activities for participating schools. These will be available towards the end of Term 2, continuing into Term 3. The Kids-Teaching-Kids conference will likely be postponed until October/November. Registered teachers will receive updates directly from the team via email. Registration for Kids in Action 2020 is free. For further information please contact us

Kids in Action grows a culture that values caring for the natural world. It brings together hundreds of students and teachers from across the region to share experiences and learnings with a common goal to help save the Coast's spectacular environment. The conference is part of National Kids Teaching Kids Week, where students become the teachers sharing the environmental projects they have been working on across the Kids Teaching Kids community.

Last year over 300 students from 25 Sunshine Coast schools attended the Kids in Action Conference. They shared some amazing projects that drew upon their partnership working with First Nations People about the significant and special flora and fauna species that can be found on the Sunshine Coast.
