The Sunshine Coast now boasts Australia’s highest adventure course with the TreeTop Challenge Adventure Park officially unveiled at the Big Pineapple today.

The new TreeTop Challenge features 100 challenges, set across eight acres, with sections over 25 metres high - it is both the highest and most thrilling adventure park in Australia.

Tourism, Events and Sport Portfolio Councillor Jason O’Pray said the TreeTop Challenge investment was a great result for our region’s tourism industry and aligns with our vision to be Australia’s most sustainable region – healthy, smart, creative.

“It provides another employment pathway for locals and is a sign of sustained business confidence in the region,” Cr O’Pray said.

“From our hinterland to our beaches, the Sunshine Coast boast so many natural assets, making this region one of Australia’s favourite holiday destinations.

“We welcome the addition of the TreeTop Challenge to our major regional attractions and wish them every success.”

Visit Sunshine Coast CEO Simon Latchford said new tourism offerings such as the TreeTop Challenge gave tourists another reason to visit the Sunshine Coast.

“Holiday-makers are often looking for something new to try when researching their next getaway,” Mr Latchford said.

“New products such as the TreeTop Challenge are vital because they entice visitors to stay longer, and most importantly, become a return visitor to the Sunshine Coast.”

The TreeTop Challenge will open to the public from Saturday, March 23, 2019.
