Visit Sunshine Coast has partnered with Jetstar Australia and Sunshine Coast Airport to launch a new campaign highlighting the ease of holidaying on the Sunshine Coast from Adelaide with Jetstar’s direct flight services.
The campaign, with the tagline Come to life will run in South Australia, during two bursts from now until August 16 and October 5-18 with sales fares available from Jetstar to support the route.
The campaign uses the proven appeal of video and visuals from the recent VSC Come to life creative with print, digital and social media placements, as well as electronic mail, PR and a competition to win a holiday to the Sunshine Coast.
CEO of Visit Sunshine Coast Simon Latchford said the campaign was designed to generate awareness and drive bookings on the Adelaide (ADL) to Sunshine Coast (MCY) service, during traditionally quieter periods.
“We are delighted to partner with Jetstar Australia and Sunshine Coast Airport in enticing people to plan and book a Sunshine Coast holiday using the convenient direct flight service," Mr Latchford said.
“One of our objectives for the campaign is to reinforce the new Come to life brand following its launch earlier in the year and the timing is aligned with Jetstar’s very popular and affordable ‘beach sale’ fares.
“Growing the interstate market is a key priority for the Sunshine Coast and we look forward to welcoming more South Australians to the region.
“We know South Australian visitors are seeking diversity and the Sunshine Coast is more than just stunning beaches. We have wonders of nature, fresh local food, exhilarating events and immersive encounters in abundance.
“Access to the Sunshine Coast from South Australia has never been easier with the direct service taking just over two hours."
Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Peter Pallot said the three times weekly services had proven very popular with South Australian visitors and Sunshine Coast residents since they began in September last year.
“We love being able to welcome our South Australian visitors to the coast and these direct services have made that journey very easy," Mr Pallot said.
"Of course, that also means that our locals are now just a short flight away from the delights that South Australia has to offer.
“As we head into the second year of operation for the direct services, we are delighted to work with our partners Visit Sunshine Coast and Jetstar, in encouraging more South Australian’s to visit our beautiful part of the world.”
Flights Jetstar operates the only direct Adelaide to Sunshine Coast flights.
Return flights operate three times per week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Campaign Travel dates for the sale are for January 10 to March 28, 2018 and May 4-30, 2018.
