Sunshine Coast Libraries
Our Libraries also offer a diverse program of free or low-cost activities throughout June.
Climate ready community: 16–26 June, multiple libraries — a free, interactive workshop featuring The Adaptation Game. While playing you will explore real‑world weather and climate challenges. Work with other locals to explore scenarios like heatwaves, storms, fires and flooding, and discover simple actions you can take at home and in your neighbourhood.
Our Heritage, Our Stories: Wednesdays, 10am — Discover memorable stories about the people, places and history that have shaped the Sunshine Coast through a series of engaging local heritage videos. These weekly Wednesday screenings showcase a remarkable collection of recordings captured over many years, featuring local people sharing their memories of Sunshine Coast history and events. The videos change each week and are drawn from the Cultural Heritage and Heritage Library collections.
Healthy Sunshine Coast
For those focused on health and wellbeing, Sunshine Coast Council’s flagship Healthy Sunshine Coast program provides more than 80 low-cost activities, from outdoor fitness and water-based exercise to yoga, meditation and family-friendly sessions.

This month is also a great time to shop purposefully. Buy Local Day on Saturday 27 June encourages Sunshine Coast residents to recognise the impact of choosing local, supporting the independent businesses and local events that give our Sunshine Coast its character, diversity and charm.
