If you own or run a food and beverage business then don’t miss your chance to represent the Sunshine Coast at the 2017 Fine Food Australia expo in Sydney in September.

Fine Food Australia is the country’s leading trade exhibition for the food service, hospitality and retail industries, and this year Sunshine Coast Council is giving nine businesses the opportunity to co-exhibit at the Sunshine Coast stand or have products displayed during the event.  Be quick as applications close this Friday May 26.

Economic Development and Innovation Portfolio Cr Steve Robinson said this event was a great opportunity for local businesses to promote their business and products on the national stage.

“The annual Fine Food Australia show attracts more than 1000 Australian and international exhibitors and showcases new and innovative products,” Cr Robinson said.

“The event includes live demonstrations, master classes and industry-recognised competitions – a fantastic opportunity to showcase what the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

“We’re partnering with the Food and Agribusiness Network to deliver this opportunity and we’ll be subsiding the overall costs of the nine local businesses chosen to exhibit at this event.

“This will assist promoting local businesses, attracting further investment interests to the Sunshine Coast and further developing our export activities.”

Applications are open to all food and non-alcoholic beverage producers based within the Sunshine Coast Council local government area, including but not limited to gourmet foods, dairy products, packaged meat and seafood, baked goods, honey, juices, tea, coffee and other non-alcoholic beverages.

Applications close on Friday June 2.  Applicants will be advised by June 12.
