Project goes swimmingly at Ewen Maddock Dam

The popular swimming area at Ewen Maddock Park is open again following construction work to put piles in place for a 100m timber boardwalk along the water’s edge.

The popular swimming area at Ewen Maddock Park is open again following construction work to put piles in place for a 100m timber boardwalk along the water’s edge.

Swimmers can now enjoy the dam safely while work continues on the project. Construction is expected to take around 12 weeks, with a break over the Christmas /New Year period.

The boardwalk, featuring a shelter and seating, is part of a revised master plan funded by the State Government following its resumption of open space at the park to build a water treatment plant.
