Division 5 Councillor Jenny McKay said Conondole kids and their parents alike have welcomed the colourful new playground recently installed at Boyle Park, Herron Road, by Sunshine Coast Council.

"The upgrade and new additions to the playground equipment were long overdue in this popular park," Cr McKay said.

"It has been great to see the youth enjoying the new equipment including a jungle slide, rock climbing wall, rope climbing facility, lady bug spinner, ark swing with a birds’ nest and a spinner.

"The playground also features rubber wear pads under the slide for safety and cushioning as well as takura bark softfall throughout the playground area."

All of council's playgrounds are designed and installed in compliance with Australian Standards

Cr McKay said park visitors would also appreciate the new pathway connecting the playground, toilet facilities, community pool and tennis court.

"The new concrete pathway connecting the key areas of the park provides accessibility for residents of all abilities to enjoy the popular park including people in wheelchairs, mothers with prams, and people who use scooters or other walking aids," she said.
