Over the last 12 months more than 45,000 patrons have experienced a fantastic line-up of entertainment at Council’s Nambour Civic Centre and the good news is there are many more high-profile names on the way.

Division 10 Councillor Greg Rogerson said there is no doubt Nambour Civic Centre is a key economic driver for Nambour and plays an important role in supporting local businesses by bringing thousands of people into town each month.

“Paired with the revitalisation of C-Square and the opening of neighbouring licensed venues - The Bison Bar and the Nook & Cranny - Nambour has been touted the new ‘West End’ and Nambour Civic Centre is right in the heart of the action,” Cr Rogerson said.

“Bringing big live music acts to the Sunshine Coast, such as the recent successful Vance Joy concert, Nambour Civic Centre is excited to welcome the reunited Australian music legends Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd to the stage on their limited Australian Tour, performing their timeless smash hits on July 3.

“Nambour Civic Centre continues to draw crowds both to the stage and to the big screen.

“Arthouse Cinema Nambour, which has been running for 25 years, has a strong following and presents quality films week in week out. With over 10,000 attendees to the Arthouse Cinema in the last eight months, the numbers keep on growing.

“And if that wasn’t enough good news, high profile New York artist Kelsey Montague has created her unique #whatliftsyou artwork at Nambour Civic Centre, on show until April 15.

“Kelsey’s large interactive art mural reflects iconic elements of the Coast in her signature giant wings, and has taken the world by storm – Singer Taylor Swift has shared a photo of her standing in front of the stunning wings in New York City.

Nambour Civic Centre is the most welcoming venue on the Sunshine Coast and is located on the upper level of the C-Square complex, 52 – 64 Currie Street, Nambour. Parking is available via Mill Street across from the Coles Supermarket.
