One of the outstanding additions to our impressive list of major events in recent years has been the Horizon Festival.

Now in its third year, Horizon has quickly grown to become the signature multi-arts festival for our region and been enjoyed by tens of thousands of patrons.

The countdown is now underway to the 2018 festival when our Sunshine Coast will come alive over 10 arts-fuelled days from August 24 to September 2.

This year’s huge program has something to suit a wide range of age groups and artistic tastes.

It's packed with performance, visual art, music, film, dance, comedy, immersive technologies, events for families, hands-on workshops, art on the beach and more.

To give you a taste of what’s to come, festival organisers have revealed a sneak peek of selected events before the full festival program is released on July 13.

To see some of what's to come, I encourage you to head along to horizonfestival.com.au and start planning what you'd like to see and do.

It’s going to be another impressive celebration of arts and culture right here in our healthy, smart, creative region.
