Over 7000 local children and families have explored creative play since the launch of Sunshine Coast Council’s Curious Corners at Maroochydore and Noosa libraries and with the addition of two more Corners many more kids will join them.

The Curious Corner, in partnership with the State Library of Queensland, is operating Monday to Friday with varying themes initiating curiosity and play for children while using all of their five senses at Kawana and Beerwah libraries.

An all new Look! Picture Book themed Corner featuring a retro caravan and tent from night time backyard adventures is now waiting for children to explore at Maroochydore and Caloundra libraries.

Families are invited to visit one of the four Corners and participate in the daily arts based programs, activities and collections, curated around a theme that will enliven and renew children’s spaces.

The Corners are manned by library staff who encourage children to learn through play, story, song and games from Monday to Friday during the following times. Of course parents are also encouraged and welcome to join in the fun and games with their children.
