A highlight of the local National Reconciliation Week (May 27 to June 3) calendar is the Aunty Betty Memorial Reconciliation Walk.

The walk honours respected Kabi Kabi Country Elder Aunty Betty McMahon who died in December 2018. The first walk was held 10 years ago, with Aunty Betty seeing it as an opportunity to expand the Sunshine Coast Reconciliation Group Incorporated’s reach.
