Eumundi-Noosa Road gets ready for new Bunnings

Roadworks currently in progress along Eumundi-Noosa Road will see the Rene Street and Eumundi Noosa Road roundabout upgraded as part of the new Bunnings Warehouse development.

Division 11 Councillor Russell Green said that council’s conditions of development required part of Gateway Drive to be diverted through the new Bunnings Warehouse site.

"The roadworks will also see the Rene Street and Eumundi Noosa Road roundabout upgraded".

These roadworks are required to address the increased traffic movement generated by the new Bunnings Warehouse, with the Gateway Drive deviation eliminating the current U turn movements.

"Currently if you are exiting Gateway Drive onto Eumundi Noosa Road, the intersection is restricted to left turns only. But with the Gateway Drive deviation and upgraded roundabout right turn movements are made possible," Cr Green said.

"This represents a great improvement to the road network".
