Cr Terry Landsberg Division 2 - introduction and thanks

I am honoured and privileged to represent our beautiful Division 2, thank you for trusting me to represent you.

I would like to congratulate my elected council colleagues and I look forward to working with them and with our community. I want to acknowledge Cr Tim Dwyer, who has left a significant legacy. I look forward to continuing his great work.

I have been a long-term small business owner, Sunshine Coast resident and community volunteer and I have a great love for this area and its community, so I decided to run for council to represent our community in ways that will have a lasting positive impact. It is important to me that we balance the environment, the community and the economy.

Our approach to supporting regional economic development will drive our community’s COVID-19 recovery. I am advocating for our council to support business through revisiting our preferred suppliers arrangement, improving processes, building safety measures into contracts to protect subcontractors and to work with the proactive business networks to strengthen our business community.

It is important that we continue with projects such as the Caloundra Centre Activation  and Caloundra CBD Masterplan to build partnerships to diversify industries. Likewise, the airport expansion and Maroochydore CBD will provide local jobs.
