Now’s your last chance for tickets to one of Australia’s most theatrical pop performers, Kate Miller-Heidke, when she plays at The Lake (formerly the Lake Kawana Community Centre) on Sunday night as part of her Caught in the Crowd regional tour.

Kate wowed crowds at the Caloundra Music Festival last year and now she’s back with a solo show featuring songs from her latest album, Curiouser.

Kate is already well known to local audiences through her regular appearances at the Woodford Folk Festival.

Her operatic training and love of musical theatre has spilled over into her pop music, giving her an arresting stage presence.

She hit the big time when her ARIA-nominated album Little Eve went Gold on the back of four ARIA nominations: Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, and Breakthrough Artist for both the album and its frenetic Top 50 single, Words.

Kate's live performance of the song at the televised ARIA awards night was considered the most memorable moment of the show.

"Touring is the core of what I do," she says. "For 18 months we were on the road, which is why Little Eve enjoyed a bit of success. We didn't really get the traditional radio play. It was more word-of-mouth."

Tickets to Sunday night’s concert, at just $23 including booking fee, are available from the venue – The Lake, at Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina, or by calling 5437 1170.
