Mayor Mark Jamieson will announce the future of light rail on the Sunshine Coast following Sunshine Coast Council consideration of the Taskforce report and its recommendations.

This milestone will represent a journey of nearly 12 months beginning with the council resolution in August 2011 to establish a Sunshine Coast Light Rail Taskforce to evaluate the potential of light rail on the Sunshine Coast.

The Mayor will acknowledge the work of the Taskforce and officially thank them for their contribution to the comprehensive pre-feasibility report.
