A number of cultural and sporting groups in Buderim and Sippy Downs are smiling after receiving community grants from the Sunshine Coast Council.

Division 6 Councillor Christian Dickson said six local groups had received a total of $37,387 under Council’s Community Grants Program, while two groups were granted a total of $8,686 under the RADF funding program that is jointly funded by Council and the Stage Government.

"This funding is well deserved by its recipients and will certainly help all of these groups and associations continue to enrich our local community," he said.

"The community grants these groups receive will be put towards some very worthy projects, upgrades and refurbishments.

"I’d also like to thank Arts Queensland for its partnership with Council in funding the Regional Arts Development Funding (RADF) grants that were received by the Buderim Male Choir ($5000) and the Sunshine Coast Choral Society Inc ($3,686)."
