Among the many international, Australian and local artists gracing the Caloundra Music Festival stages this year will be the festival’s youngest-ever performer – 12-year-old singer-songwriter Cassi Hilbers.
Festival director Richie Eyles said the CMF team worked hard to secure a diverse line-up each year.
‘There are not many festivals where talented artists as young as Cassi have the opportunity to perform to thousands of people – it’s another thing that makes Caloundra Music Festival stand out,” Mr Eyles said.
“Cassi is one of many Sunshine Coast performers who will take to the CMF stages this year.”
Cassi taught herself guitar by watching YouTube and has since graduated from the CMAA Academy of Country Music, placed sixth in the Australian Songwriting Awards (with a song she co-wrote with songwriter Danielle Blakey) and was a finalist in the Youth section at the Tamworth Songwriters Association National Songwriting Competition in 2014.
