This sports conference, run as a partnership between the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing and Sunshine Coast Council, is a must for the people who make sport and recreation happen at the community level on the Coast.
Participants will gain insight into industry trends and hear the latest strategies shaping successful sporting clubs.
The conference will also provide valuable opportunities to network with fellow sports industry colleagues.
Conference keynote speaker Richard McInnes will share his experience across multiple sports from grassroots to elite levels, involving both male and female teams.
As a high performance manager, Richard has managed national programs in both Australia and overseas and is now currently setting the direction for Netball Queensland and The Coffee Club Queensland Firebirds.
Other guest speakers will share their expertise on a range of topics including:
• Strategic planning to move your organisation forward
• Practical use of technology
• Athlete management and recovery
• Strength and conditioning
• Team management and club culture
• Facility development process.
This full-day free conference will also include a tour of the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre, including the new climbing wall and caving facility.
