The message of child safety and protection has reached thousands of Sunshine Coast visitors this week, with Sunshine Coast Airport decorated in red and helping raise awareness in the lead up to Day for Daniel.
Airport general manager Peter Pallot said it was important for the Sunshine Coast community to support Day for Daniel events to honour the memory of Daniel Morcombe and help promote a safer community for children.
“Day for Daniel is close to the hearts of many of us on the Sunshine Coast and the airport’s involvement aims to help the Morcombe Foundation spread the child safety message around Australia,” Mr Pallot said.
“In line with this year’s theme of ‘Wear Red and Educate’, airport staff will be dressed in red handing out the child safety and education materials to passengers on Friday.
“Every organisation that participates in Day for Daniel this year is helping reach the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s goal of one million people promoting these important initiatives."
