About our quarries

Image Flat Quarry (est. 1959) produces rhyolite suitable for fill, retaining walls and road base. Material is extracted, crushed and processed on site.

Dulong Quarry (est. 1970) contains an abundant high‑grade basalt resource for premium road base, seawalls and concrete aggregates. Material is extracted on site and transported to Image Flat for crushing and processing.

Unique products can be made on request, including custom blends and rock sizing. We specialise in quality material for structural and designer seawalls and retaining walls.

Hours

Image Flat Quarry is open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays). 

The quarry may close temporarily and without prior notice for operational or safety reasons, at the discretion of the Quarry Manager.

Location

Image Flat Quarry is located at 178 Image Flat Road, Image Flat (map).

Please follow safety signage, speed limits and Queensland road rules when entering and exiting the site.

Site access is by prior arrangement authorised by the Quarry Manager or Quarry Supervisor. Before accessing the site, all visitors, contractors and customers must complete a safety induction. Induction enquiries: (07) 5459 2800 or email.

Unauthorised access to the Image Flat or Dulong quarry sites is not permitted. On‑site security cameras operate. Incidents of trespass or vandalism (including damage to gates or other assets at entry and exit points) may be reported to the Queensland Police Service for possible prosecution.
