Froggie Award

We are excited to announce the return of the Froggie Award in this year’s Sunshine Coast Biosphere Awards, supported by the Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC). This is judges choice award, no nomination required.

We are delighted to welcome back the Sunshine Coast Environment Council Froggie Award as part of the Biosphere Awards. The much-loved and highly respected Froggies were established by SCEC in 1995, with the successful awards becoming a Sunshine Coast institution for almost 20 years.

From 2026, the Sunshine Coast Environment Council Froggie Award will be presented as an overall environmental excellence prize, selected from all Biosphere Award nominations. Every Biosphere Award nominee is automatically eligible for this special recognition, with one individual, community group or organisation honoured as a standout champion of conservation and environmental leadership.

Including the celebrated ‘Froggie’ in the Biosphere Awards program ensures the Sunshine Coast’s most inspiring environmental achievements are recognised and amplified, fostering connection to nature and a thriving future for our region.
