Visit Sunshine Coast Holiday Parks
Six beautiful spots. One relaxed Sunshine Coast holiday. Whether you're chasing waves, winding down with a good book, or catching up with family, there's a park here for you. Stay at Coolum, Cotton Tree, Dicky Beach, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba or Mudjimba.
The Sunshine Coast's visitor information centres have a range of brochures and information to assist travellers.
Main Roads rest areas
There are rest areas located across the Sunshine Coast. General and recreational vehicles can stop at a rest area for up to 20 hours. It is important motorists use rest areas designated for the type of vehicle you are driving.
The Jowarra rest area is on Steve Irwin Way, just south of the Caloundra turn-off on the Bruce Highway. Overnight camping is permitted.

Dogs in rest areas
Dogs are permitted on leash only and under effective control. Dogs must not interfere with wildlife or other recreational users.
Camping in rest areas
Camping and overnight stays are only allowed in approved locations. These areas are signed. Penalties apply for illegal camping.
Camping on public land
Camping is not permitted on public land, parks and foreshores. This includes camping in a tent, in a vehicle or on the ground.
The Obi Obi Creek crossing number 2 at Kidaman Creek (also known as Bonney Park and Obi Obi Ck East Park) are for day use only. They are not a designated campsite and camping is prohibited in this area.
National Park camping areas
Camping permit is required and fees apply.
The Coochin Creek camping area is located four kilometres east of the Bruce Highway off Roys Road (Bruce Highway heading south from the Sunshine Coast). Turn down Roys Road and follow the signs.
The Peach Trees camping area is about four kilometres from the township of Jimna. It is at the western edge of the Upper Mary Valley forests and parks. The Jimna forests include towering hoop pine plantations, several walking tracks and a creekside camping area. A permit is required and fees apply.
There are three camping areas at Booloumba Creek. They are located about 13 kilometres from Conondale. A permit is required and fees apply.
