Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games
The Sunshine Coast is proud to be a co-host city for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We will be home to three key venues and nine proposed Olympic and Paralympic events.
The Olympic Games are scheduled to be held from 23 July to 8 August 2032 and the Paralympic Games from 24 August to 5 September 2032. Alongside other Queensland councils, we play an important role in helping plan and deliver the Games. Local governments are key to making the Games a true celebration across the state, with events and activities that reflect the unique character of each region.
Council is working with other councils through a City Readiness and Operations Coordination Committee to share ideas and make sure each region’s plans fit into the overall Games program, while still keeping its own local priorities.
